Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will then need to pass a state licensing exam before you can officially practice as an electrician.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment in this field will grow by 14% from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations. This growth is largely due to the increasing demand for electrical work in both residential and commercial settings. So if you are looking for a stable and rewarding career, electrician is a great choice!
